Pova 8 pro 5G
TECNO’s Pova series has always been about giving budget-conscious buyers flagship-style muscle without the flagship price tag. With the Pova 8 Pro 5G, the brand pushes that formula further — pairing a serious gaming chipset with a genuinely upgraded camera system, a display built for speed, and a battery big enough to last well beyond a single day. Here’s a full breakdown of what makes this phone stand out.
TECNO didn’t hold back on the aesthetics. The Pova 8 Pro 5G takes its cues from spacecraft design, leaning into bold, flowing lines and a minimalist finish. It’s available in three finishes — Tundra Green, Graphite Black, and Arc White — and comes in at just 7.39mm thick and 189 grams, keeping it slim despite the huge battery packed inside.
The standout design element is the Alive Matrix Display, a strip of 177 independently controlled Mini LED beads that create a “breathing light” effect. It syncs with over 49 different scenarios — from incoming calls and messages to gaming sessions and file transfers — and every element of it is fully customizable.
This isn’t a phone that needs babying. The Pova 8 Pro 5G carries an industry-leading IP69K/69/68/66 dust and water resistance rating, plus an Omni-Shield Impact System paired with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on the display — protection against scratches, drops, and everyday accidents.
At the heart of the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G processor, built on a 4nm process with an octa-core setup (4×2.6GHz Cortex-A78 + 4×2.0GHz Cortex-A55). It’s scored over 1,010,744 on AnTuTu, and works alongside a dedicated TECNO P1 Graphic Chip that unlocks up to 144FPS gaming in supported titles, including a co-optimized Ultra Extreme mode for PUBG Mobile.
A 5,000mm² vapor chamber (5K IceShield VC Cooling System) keeps things running cool during extended sessions. On the memory side, the phone ships standard with 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM, but can be configured up to 24GB RAM (with extension) and 512GB of storage for heavy multitaskers.
Display: 144Hz HyperLux AMOLED
This is where the Pova 8 Pro 5G quietly punches above its class. It uses the Sony LYTIA 700C, a 1/1.56-inch 50MP OIS sensor with pixel-level 2×2 OCL technology for faster autofocus and better low-light performance.

Battery anxiety isn’t really a concern here. The Pova 8 Pro 5G packs a 6500mAh Mega Battery built on TECNO’s DiamondCell Architecture, rated for over 32.8 hours of daily use across mixed activities like music, video, gaming, and navigation.
TECNO has loaded the Pova 8 Pro 5G with AI tools that go beyond the camera:
The phone runs HiOS 16 and offers 2 Android updates and 3 years of security patches. Highlights:
